XVIII The Moon

Both of these guys are 4.75x5.5in / 12x14cm with 100 pages of 140gsm paper, painted in acrylic paint and inks on canvas. As for the art - both are tarot images, though only one states itself as so, written in the style of Pamela-Colman-Smith's handwritten titles in the RiderWaiteSmith tarot. The second book, the snow scene, shows the two pillar imagery of The Moon. This card can mean visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. The titled book does this with with the association between water and emotions, storms and the mind. The double-edge meaning of The Moon is there in the surface of the water, with the reflection of the moon vague and distorted. In the second book, the haze of the storm causes the mountains in the back to be obscured. One can not tell stars from snow, and only the trees stand clear in the mist.
